Francisco J. Sánchez
Francisco J. Sánchez has practiced as a corporate lawyer since 1986. He obtained his Licenciado en Derecho (J.D.) degree from the Autonomous University of Baja California in 1982, in Tijuana, B. C., and the LLM in Comparative Law from the University of San Diego, in San Diego, California, in 1986.
His areas of practice are corporations, domestic and international business transactions, industrial property law, real estate, foreign investments, Maquiladora operations and tax consulting and litigation.
Mr. Sánchez experience includes working as an associate and a partner in some of the main law firms in Tijuana, and tax manager in the local office of one of the big five accounting firms. He has advised and represented many North American and Asian clients, in connection with the establishment and operation of Maquiladora assembly plants, subsidiaries, branch offices, joint ventures, real estate transactions, leases, trusts, purchase and sale of goods and other similar operations.
A member of the National Association of Corporate Lawyers Mr. Sánchez has also participated as a speaker in several seminars on Foreign Investment Regulations and Taxation Law. In addition, he has been a professor of Fiscal Procedure, Administrative Law and Foreign Investment Regulations at the Iberoamericana University Law School and at the Centro de Estudios Técnicos y Superiores (CETYS) in Tijuana. Mr. Sánchez is fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
